Back in 1979 the U.N. (the Useless Nincompoops)created a treaty called the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). This treaty's intention is self-explanatory. Eight countries did not sign, including Sudan, Iran, and the United States.

Now 30 years later Senator Barbra Boxer wants to see the treaty ratified.

"We've waited long enough," says Boxer. "All these years later, there's no excuse for not ratifying this critical convention to shine a light on women's rights around the world."

Color me surprised me I found out that Saudia Arabia is one of the countries that did ratify that treaty back in 1979. Wow, it has done the women there a lot of good, hasn't it?

This is a good time to point out that the United Nations can print a pretty word on paper, but when it comes to actually enforcing laws, it is useless. If a country like Saudi Arabia can have an "equal rights" bill that it obviously never intended to carry through with why does the USA bother to sign UN treaties?

Answer- because our leaders have the attention spans of jellyfish.

As a woman I have absolutely no problem with the US NOT adopting this treaty. Know why? Because the US already has an equal rights bill. We've got the Declaration Of Independence.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness."

In this day and age the term "men" can be substituted for "people". Sounds good to me.

Then there is the Bill Of Rights with its ten amendments. Again this bill is intended for every American citizen.

So, what is the fuss all about? Women and men are both protected, so stop wasting government money on a bill that is not needed.

    I guess our leaders just see so much money to spend. Now is the time with all that Ominbus money just laying around.

    This is the sort of garbage that gets my blood pressure up.

    The UN feels it is the ulimate authority,when they are nothing more than a collective of useless dimwits,despots,and socialist liberals. They amount to nothing and are nothing,unless we allow them to be.

    It is time we stop allowing them to be. And I have the best way of doing it. Match and a gallon of gas. Burn baby, burn. Oh,don't forget the S'mores. Mmmm,S'mores.
